Gregory Schrot
ATTORNEY
Gregory Schrot has been a member of the team since 2018
His passion for helping others began at a young age,
volunteering alongside his father with the Port Huron Optimist Club. That early experience shaped a career centered on guiding families through important legal decisions with compassion and care.
Greg works closely with clients to understand their goals and create plans that reflect their wishes. He is known for his thoughtful approach, attention to detail, and ability to explain complex legal matters in a way that is easy to understand. Whether helping families plan for the future or navigate difficult circumstances, Greg is committed to providing practical guidance and peace of mind throughout the process.
Greg earned his bachelor's degree in Legal Studies from Grand Valley State University. During college, he returned home each summer to volunteer as an assistant coach for the Lapeer East High School varsity baseball team. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law.
He is a member of the Probate and Estate Planning, Elder Law and Disability Rights, and Agricultural Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan. Greg has also earned Certificates of Completion in Probate and Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Closely Held Business Formation.
Outside the office, Greg is active in the community as a member of the Caro Rotary, the Huron County Senior Coalition, and serves as Committee Chairman for the Lapeer County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
Greg and his wife, Ellery, live in Caro with their son Daniel and daughter Joanna. Greg enjoys spending his falls in the marsh, the fields and the woods. In the summer you might find him chasing after walleye or relaxing with his family at their cottage in Grand Marais.
